Hell Diest, Netherlands -  'A New Heartbeat' Review by Philip Vansteenberg

In anticipation of a new full CD the Tygers treat us to a 4 track EP. If there's one thing these old hands prove after 4 decades, it's the fact that they still know how to write catchy and melodic Heavy Metal songs. The first 2 tracks 'A New Heartbeat' and 'Red Mist' on this snack are brand new and can be described as typical rough rockers. New guitarist Francesco Marras can pull out the stops, which guarantees good riffs and incisive guitar solos. With him in the ranks it can only be a big step forward for this band. Singer Jack is also very vocal and shows that he is world-class vocally. As a nice present, the gentlemen decided to re-record 2 tracks ('Fireclown' and 'Killers) from the legendary album "Wild Cat" (1980) in a 2022 jacket. These 'oldies' fit in seamlessly with the new material and here too Francesco attracts a great deal of attention with excellent guitar parts. In 2022, the Tygers still show they are able to deliver quality and in a way that can please many people. If the forthcoming full CD will be an extension of the 2 new songs, then we can expect some nice moments. Bring it on, gentlemen. This new heartbeat is on the pulse. The version of 'Killers' is the one from 1980.
