Founded in England in 1978, the tiger will still be baring its teeth in 2023. The new album sounds fresh and fresh without emulating any modern trends. The only
thing modern here would be the production. The retro sound becomes very powerful here on a contemporary heavy rock disc. Think of the current URIAH HEEP and SAXON discs, where that also applies.

TYGERS features band founder Robb Weir on guitar, Jacopo Meille on mic and drummer Craig Ellis, both of whom have also been around for twenty years. Relatively new is guitarist Francesco Marras and brand new bassist Huw Holding. Musically it has become a homage to the heavy metal/hard rock of the eighties. Technically perfectly implemented. No matter which song you choose, there is only the highest level here. The opener "Edge Of The World" is a picture book number with an epic chorus and fat riffs. “Fire On The Horizon” also touches on Speed Metal. Could also come from RIOT and is the heaviest track on the album. MÖTLEY CRÜE would kill for a track like "Back For Good". cock rock or what? "Taste Of Love" is a semi-ballad at its finest. Whereas “Kiss The Sky” is just straight DOKKEN style Rocker. The rest is not to be despised either, on the contrary! That doesn't sound particularly spectacular, and it isn't either. "Bloodlines" is just a great, straight album. Extra praise for Jacopo Meille's super great singing. (Ralf)
