There are re-releases, but I don't understand the point of it. With this album by TYGERS OF PAN TANG, however, I completely understand the ulterior motive. Because the Tigers have been making a real noise in recent years. Not only do they rock live, they are also experiencing a second spring in their creative lives. I think it started in 2008. With "Animal Instinct".

(Or rather shortly before. Robb Weir, grinder of TOPT, was looking for a new frontman. Jacopo Meille, an Italian singer, also introduced himself at the auditions. Robb remembers: “I knew, from the moment I put my hand up to stop Jack’s audition 40 seconds in and offered him the job... I just knew he was going
to be the ‘Voice’ of the Tygers”.

Anyone who has seen the Tigers on stage recently or knows their last albums, such as the strong 'Live Blood' half a year ago or the last studio hit 'Bloodlines', knows what to expect here too. Really fat, driving hard rock resounds from the speakers. Straightforward, powerful, melodic. And sometimes hymnic ('If You
Say Kay'). 'Let It Burn' then also shows the band's metallic roots. after all, in the first spring, she was part of the NWOBHM.

When 'Animal Instinct' was released, the English critic Geoff Barton, the inventor of the term NWoBHM, wrote that this album was "preferable to the current offerings from Whitesnake and Def Leppard." I agreed with that at the time. That's still true today. But because this album was rather overlooked here when it was released, you can now discover what you missed back then. It is of course released on all portals, but also as a CD and LP in transparent light blue, limited to 500 copies. With the hit "Don't Say R'n'R Is Gonna Die", you can also discover a bonus track.
