The list of former band members is long with the band Tygers Of Pan Tang, who played a decisive role in shaping the NWoBHM, and with former guitarist Johny Sykes it is even more prominent. And no matter who the guys are around the only remaining founding member, guitarist Robb Weir, they manage to keep the Tygers aggressive and biting; all fans of a very, very classic Heavy Metal from the very beginning should be fine. The British five-piece, which today consists of Weir, Francesco Marras on second guitar, bassist Huw Holding, drummer Craig EIIis and singer Jack Meille, behave on the current studio album exactly as Robb Weir had imagined and it happened exactly the same way: self-confident and passionate, young and carefree, as on the debut album "Wildcat" it was so immensely convincing that they are still among the pioneers of the genre today, even if the band was not as successful as that of their contemporaries Iron Maiden. New tracks like the immensely powerful straight-rocking opener 'Edge Of The World' or a track like 'Fire On The Horizon' with your 'knife-sharp riffs' or the following song 'In My Blood' with its fast and fine solo duels set the direction and number of steps at lightning speed right at the beginning of the album. The fact that the Tygers can also rock more filigree and very melodically is proven with the escalating closing number 'Making All The Rules' - as well as the fact that bands like the Tygers Of Pan Tang are more and more organized today and digital world have become more indispensable than ever.
