Stark!Strom Magazine, Germany - 'Majors And Minors' Review by Claudia

The big cats from the UK who own their name from Michael Moorcock's novel "Stormbringer"(hello Mike!) are part of the spearhead of the glorious NWOBHM, as is known as bands like Diamond Head, Saxon and Iron Maiden.
Founded in 1978, the TYGERS found themselves trapped in one never-ending line-up carousel, to which John Sykes belonged from 1980 to 1982. This only came to a standstill in the early 2000s and a stable line-up was found with singer Jacopo Meille, Robb Weir and Francesco Marras on guitars and finally bassists Gav Gray and Craig Ellis on drums. With Majors & Minors, the completely renewed TOPT have now picked the cherry on the cake from the albums of the last 13 years, this should not be a best-of compilation, but a special disc in the band's history for fans and collectors, but also for those who are not so familiar with the troop. Not only 13 years, there are also 13 songs and each of them is a veritable nod. Performed with a lot of passion by Jacopo Meille's eternally young voice, they place great value on catchy choruses, but with all the melodious melodies, one thing is extensively demonstrated here: the power of the riff. May this power be with them always!
